Tactical ability is all about visual and positional awareness and your football intelligence. Do you understand what the shape of the team should be? Do you understand what your role in that shape is, both when you have the ball, and more importantly, when you do not. Obviously, this will vary from position to position, but wherever you play, you should always be aware of your role in the team.
